Scope of this Standard
This standard has been developed to address three main objectives. The first is to ensure a minimum level of visibility through the windows of motor vehicles to allow drivers a reasonably good view of their surroundings. The second is to allow external observers, especially other drivers, the ability to discern the occupants of a motor vehicle with its windows up to see through the windows of the vehicle, to other side where relevant. The third objective is to assist other regulatory bodies such as the Police and the Licensing Authority in enforcing the law. These objectives are all in the interest of safety for the travelling public.
